Position in NLH

Firstly live poker in general is more social and personal. Which should force you to pay attention. You get a Good sense about who is comfortable and who isn't. I say with in one hour you have a basic opinion on each player at the table. Use That information on how and when too get involved in pots. I will make easy for my readers, there are two type of players Those who gamble versus those who are tight, Before and after flop.  

• From my own  life experience in live Texas Holdem, players are a little bit less self- destructive. Meaning 3 bets will work much more, in live casino, chips have real value not a computer number. And live tell are critical if spotted..I never personally pick up a tell from chip handling but breathing yes, looking away from action yes quick allin yes are good signals to read your opponent intentions. But the number one way to get a sttong read on a player intentions is to know his stack size and bet size. And finally how does he or she view you, and your stack size.

   How does position affect your success in NLH.

Well very simple, your hand strength, should be stronger from early position. Any hand from AA KK QQ AK from any seat can be raised from early position. You hand from the middle position JJ-88, AQ KQ, AJ sited, A 10 suited can be raised. From late position, All pocket pairs and all face cards can be played but not raised 100% of the time. More pot control is needed, because you act last. Which is a huge advantage in NLH.

J-9 8-9 10-9 suited are also, raising hands in late position in NLH, do not raise small pockets pair from middle or late just call. you actually want pot control with these hands. Finally small pockets pair can be raised or reraise from sb and bb.

The two positions to your immediate left and right are the only players, that affect your game play.
